Bristol road closures: five for motorists to avoid this week

Bristol's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M32, from 9pm August 17 to 6am August 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 southbound, junction 2 to 3 lane closure on slip roads and main carriageway for Bristol City Council sign installations.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

M5, from 9pm August 23 to 6am August 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 18 access from Portway roundabout lane closure for barrier repairs.

M32, from 8pm August 30 to 6am September 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 both directions, junction 3 lane closures for electrical works.

M32, from 10pm August 30 to 6am September 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 Both Directions M4, junction 19 to M32, junction 2 IPV for drainage works, Avoiding all other works.

M32, from 9pm September 1 to 5am September 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 southbound, junction 1 to 2 - lane closure for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
