Bristol's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Bristol's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

M5, from 9pm December 4 to 6am December 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 19 - lane closures for structure maintenance.

M49, from 9pm December 8 to 6am December 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M49 northbound, M5, junction 18a to M4, junction 22 - lane closure for drainage works.

M5, from 9pm December 8 to 6am December 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18a exit slip road closure for structural maintenance, diversion southbound, on M5 to junction 19 and return.

M5, from 9pm December 11 to 5am December 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 to 18 lane closures for structure maintenance.

M5, from 9pm December 11 to 6am December 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 19 - lane closures for structure maintenance.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
