Bristol road closures: almost a dozen for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Bristol's motorists will have 10 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that 10 closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M5, from 9pm January 22 to 6am January 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 to 18 lane closures for structure maintenance.

• M5, from 9pm January 22 to 5am January 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 19 - lane closures for structure maintenance.

• A4, from 10am to 2pm on January 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 18 entry slip road from Portway roundabout - lane closure for surveys.

• M5, from 9pm January 24 to 6am January 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 19 - lane closures for structure maintenance.

• M5, from 9pm January 24 to 5am January 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 to 18 lane closures for structure maintenance.

• M5, from 9pm January 29 to 6am February 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 19 - lane closures for structure maintenance.

• M5, from 9pm January 29 to 6am February 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 to 18 lane closures for structure maintenance.

• M32, from 9pm February 2 to 6am February 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 northbound, junction 1 exit slip road lane closure for horticultural works.

• M5, from 9pm February 5 to 6am February 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 to 18 lane closures for structure maintenance.

• M5, from 9pm February 5 to 6am February 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 19 - lane closures for structure maintenance.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
