A post office in Bristol has temporarily closed due to the refurbishment of the shop it is part of.

The branch at the Co-op store on Avonmouth Road in Avonmouth is panned to reopen at 9am on March 28.

In a letter about the closure, the Post Office wrote: “The Co-op store in Avonmouth is undergoing a refurbishment and, due to the store having to close for this work, the Post Office counter has also temporarily closed.

“The safety of our customers is of paramount importance to us, therefore, to allow for the building work to take place, the branch closed on Tuesday, February 4.

“It is envisaged that the work will take approximately seven weeks to complete, following which the service will re-open on Friday, March 28 at 9am.”
