Other factors included the number of hours with rain possibility as well as average temperature, visibility and humidity.

Planet Ice, which has a TripAdvisor score of 2.2 out of 5, received a score of 32 out of 100 in the index study.

"With a score of 32.03 out of 100, it costs around £16.66 per person and has no train station nearby.”

The ice rink opened at The Venue Leisure Park at Cribbs Causeway in 2021, following the closure of Bristol’s city centre ice rink in 2012 after 45 years.

Home to ice hockey team Bristol Pitbulls, it is one of 14 rinks across the UK operated by Planet Ice which says it is Europe's 'number one' for ice skating.

Planet Ice did not respond to BristolWorld’s request for comment.
