People have queued for hours to see the display in the past

A Bristol couple have turned their home into a 'winter wonderland' for the fourth year running.

Mark and Becky Coles have transformed their house on Hollisters Drive in Hartcliffe into the Hollisters Winter Wonderland.

As well as thousands of lights, the house includes handmade structures such as a candy cabin - which is stocked with hot chocolate and candy canes - and a Santa sleigh.

“There’s not a lot on this side of town,” said Mark, explaining why he has put on the display every Christmas since 2020.

“It gets a bad reputation, Hartcliffe, so we want to do it for the community, we want to give something back.

“During Covid, nothing was open so there was a queue up the road for two hours, it was pretty amazing.”

It takes a month for Mark and Becky to get the display ready for December 1, with much of its structures made from recycled materials.

Among the many extravagant lights includes one in the window which is 20-years-old and the very first the couple owned when they lived in a flat.

The display is also for a good cause, having raised £16,000 for charity since it started. This year it is raising money for Young Lives vs Cancer

Holllisters Winter Wonderland runs every night until December 31, from 5.30pm to 8.30pm, with Santa and Mrs Claus making an appearance on weekends.
