A furniture shop in Bristol has suddenly closed after less than two months in business.

Cosy Living opened on Wells Road in Knowle in February, promising the ‘cheapest beds and sofas in Bristol’.

But the premises, which was previously Morrocan restaurant Assilah Bistro for 22 years, is now empty.

Cosy Living launched a sale on its Facebook page to clear its stock before closing, with a notice in the shop window saying it is now available to let.

The private landlord told BristolWorld the closure is due the furniture business only being granted a temporary three-month lease while renovations were carried out to the building.

BristolWorld has attempted to contact Cosy Living for comment.
