The Easter EGGStravaganza event will see two weeks of festivities at Avon Valley Adventure & Wildlife Park in Keynsham.

As part of a daily spectacle, the cannon will be shooting hundreds of sweets metres into the air, giving visitors the chance to catch them.

A daily live lambing event where lambs are born every day will also run throughout the Easter Eggstravaganza, with visitors invited to meet the expectant mums and hopefully witnessing a live birth.

There will also be a daily egg hunt across Easter Weekend for people of all ages to seek the much sought-after Golden Egg.

An adults-only hunt on March 30 will give the chance to search for 2,500 eggs after dark, with a huge array of prizes up for grabs.

Also making an appearance alongside the Easter Bunny will be The Grinch, who has conquered Christmas and will now be trying his hand at stealing Easter in the park’s first-ever Easter Show.

Doug Douglas, owner of Avon Valley, said: “Who says Easter celebrations can’t last two weeks?

“Our Easter EGGStravaganza is the perfect place for families to come and get to know our ewes better, meet real-life newborn lambs, and celebrate the holiday in a really unique way…complete with a ton of sweets!”
