The award from Nursery World magazine follows Archfield House being handed its second ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted inspection in April.

The family-run nursery that has been operating since 1986 nursery director Rebecca Clevett says staff are thrilled to have won the national award, especially at a time when the early years sector is facing challenges with recruitment and staff retention.

She said: “Early years settings have been facing, and continue to face, an incredibly hard time, struggling to recruit, stay open and offer spaces for families.

“We are very proud of the sector for continuing to advocate for the importance of high-quality early years care and education and we hope this award being nominated to a Bristol setting reflects the amazing work that is happening within Bristol Early Years.
