Namak launched in February 2022 on the former site of The Cauldron restaurant and owner/chef Harris Massey previously worked in London for the award-winning Indian restaurant chain Dishoom.

The dishes at Namak on Mina Road are inspired from across many regions of India and has become a firm local favourite with St Werburgh’s residents.

Highlights on the menu include Kerala prawn mango curry, Achari duck tandoor and tandoori lamb chops marinated for 24 hours in mustard, garlic and minced spices.

Harris said: “We’re so thrilled to have won ‘best restaurant in Bristol’ for the second year running at the British Restaurant Awards.

“This marks the fifth ‘best restaurant in Bristol’ award we’ve won in two years. We’re so thankful to everyone who voted for us and to all our amazing and loyal guests that dine with us and continue to support. We couldn’t do it without you.”
