Hide AdFIlwood Crazy Golf, which cost almost £15,000 to build, opened in Knowle West in July 2021.
The nine-hole course in Filwood Community Centre's courtyard featured obstacles such as the Clifton Suspension Bridge.
But the owners of the course, which cost just £1 to play, say they have had to close it due to health and safety reasons.

“It served us many years but in the end it succumbed to the weather so for health and safety we have had to close.
“We will reuse what we can where we can though so don't worry!”

The course was constructed by Knowle West-based social enterprise, re:work, and made out of recycled materials.
It was initially funded by £14,450 in Bristol City Council Community Infrastructure Levy funding to Filwood Community Centre, of which £11,000 went to re:work.

“But it’s definitely au revoir and not goodbye because we’re making plans to replace it with something even better as part of our redevelopment.”
The community centre is due for a £10m redevelopment as part of the wider regeneration of the area, with plans set to be submitted in the spring.
