Bristol City continued their Bristol City display against Blackburn Rovers as Robins go into top three">excellent start to the season by beating Blackburn Rovers in a close game at Ewood Park recently.

The Robins managed to establish a narrow lead just before half-time to put them ahead thanks to a header by forward Tommy Conway.

Nahki Wells scored his second of the game in the 73rd minute, consolidating City’s place in the Championship and pushing them further up the table to three.

After a much-spirited away performance, City now look to continue momentum in their next game against Preston North End at Ashton Gate on Saturday.

Preston North End suffered their first league defeat to Birmingham 0-1 at Deepdale Stadium on Saturday (September 3).

It was Maxime Colin’s first-half header that sealed the deal for Birmingham - the team’s second win of the season.

Things got heated at the final whistle with Preston boss Ryan Lowe sent off by Joe Bushby after he questioned some of the referee’s ‘disappointing’ decisions.
