Bristol cinema promises 'perfect date night' with Valentine's Day screenings

A Bristol cinema is promising the ‘perfect date night’ with the films it’s showing this Valentine's Day (February 14).     

Showcase Avonmeads is inviting customers to spend the most romantic of the year with their loved ones there.    

Jon Dixon, sales & marketing director at Showcase Cinemas, said “We’ve got some amazing blockbusters screening this Valentine’s Day, making the cinema the perfect place to celebrate, especially when it’s cold and gloomy outside! 

 “Whether you’d rather have a singalong with your friends to Mean Girls, impress your first date with a thriller like Argylle, or have a family date night with Wonka or Migration we’ve got something to suit everyone on the big screen.”

Anyone But You: The Valentine Encore

Bea and Ben look like the perfect couple, but after an amazing first date something happens that turns their fiery hot attraction ice cold - until they find themselves unexpectedly thrust together at a destination wedding in Australia. 

And, to celebrate Valentine’s Day, viewers will be treated to additional content, including an introduction to the film from stars Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell and a four-minute musical blooper reel.

Migration

The Mallard family is in a bit of a rut, while dad Mack is content to keep his family safe, mum Pam is eager to show their kids the whole wide world. After a migrating duck alights the family to the whole family of tales from afar, they decide to make their way south for the winter. The experience inspires them to expand their horizons, open themselves up to new friends and accomplish more than they ever thought was possible. 

Madame Web

Released on Valentine’s Day, Madame Web tells the standalone origin story of one of Marvel publishing's most enigmatic heroines. The suspense-driven thriller stars Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who may have clairvoyant abilities. 

Bob Marley: One Love

Also coming to the big screen this Valentine’s Day, Bob Marley: One Love celebrates the life and music of an icon who inspired generations through his message of love and unity. On the big screen for the first time, discover Bob's powerful story of overcoming adversity and the journey behind his revolutionary music.

Mean Girls

A musical retelling of the noughties classic, new student Cady Heron is welcomed into the top of the social food chain by the elite group of popular girls called "The Plastics," ruled by the conniving queen bee Regina George and her minions Gretchen and Karen. However, when Cady makes the major misstep of falling for Regina's ex-boyfriend Aaron Samuels, she finds herself prey in Regina's crosshairs. 

Wonka

The recent box office smash tells the origin story that explores the vivid, mythical beginnings of the imaginative young inventor, Willy Wonka, before he becomes the renowned scrumdiddlyumptious Mozart of chocolate.

All Of Us Strangers
