A new study has ranked Bristol among the top five most expensive cities in the UK to be a student.
Numbeo, the world’s largest cost of living database, was used to gather the data for the study, which used the cost of accommodation, beer, meals, transport and utilities to determine the rankings.

Hide AdBristol was crowned the fourth most expensive city to be a student with accommodations costing £1,369 per month on average, pints of beer £5, meals £15, transport £2 and utilities £229.
The most expensive city was London - accommodation costs £2,138.54 per month on average, pints of beer £6.5, meals £20, transport £2.8 and utilities £293.80 -, followed by Oxford - accommodation costs £1466.67 per month on average, pints of beer £5.45, meals £14, transport £2 and utilities £281.91 - and Milton Keynes - accommodation costs £1,450 per month on average, pints of beer £4.5, meals £15, transport £2 and utilities £229.09.
In contrast, the cheapest city was Leeds where accommodation costs £213.25 per month on average, pints of beer £4.5, meals £15, transport £2 and utilities £213.25.
