New mapping released shows the number of accidents by junction from 2012 to 2021
The number of crashes at each of Bristol’s ring road junctions has been revealed in data released by a UK road safety map website called CrashMap.
The mapping tool uses information supplied by the Department for Transport to show where incidents happened, and when, over a 10-year period from 2012 to 2021.
And by zooming in on Bristol’s ring road junctions, the number of crashes at each one can be revealed. We’ve put together a list of the worst 10 junctions for incidents:
1. The Rosary Roundabout, Emersons Green
15 crashes - none serious or fatal
2. Wick Wick Roundabout, Emersons Green
19 crashes - none serious or fatal
3. Wraxall Road roundabout, Warmley
19 crashes including one serious with two casualties in November 2021 (the same month the new layout, not pictured, was introduced)
4. Deanery Road Roundabout, Warmley
20 crashes - none serious or fatal
