Boy, 14, injured after being struck by Land Rover Discovery on A38

A 14-year-old boy was taken to hospital after being hit by a Land Rover Discovery on a busy route near Bristol.

Police are appealing for information after the crash on the A38 Gloucester Road at Whitfield, near Thornbury, yesterday (April 25) just before 4pm.

The boy was crossing the road after getting off a bus when he was struck by the Land Rover Discovery. He was taken to hospital by land ambulance - thankfully, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The road remained closed while officers carried out an examination of the scene and reopened shortly after 8.30pm.
