The new art shows a masked man with a crowbar attempting to pry away the covering on the older design by Banksy, which had first appeared in early 2020.

It was a Valentines day-inspired design on a wall in Marsh Lane, showing a child throwing roses into the air.

But it was covered after being vandalised with spray paint days after first appearing.

The newest piece has yet to be ‘claimed’ by the notorious street artist and seems to be a plea for the older artwork to be revealed.

However, the new piece does display an unusual ‘tag’ at the bottom - raising questions of whether it is actually a genuine Banksy design.
