Police have arrested a man as part of an ongoing investigation after a woman was sexually assaulted in her car in Bristol.

It happened in broad daylight on Cotham Grove at around 3.50pm on Monday (June 13).

A man was arrested in connection with the incident on Wednesday (June 15) and remains in police custody.

The incident happened on Cotham Grove before the suspect ran off towards Archfield Road. Police want to hear from you if you were in the area at the time.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “Detectives would like to thank everyone who has been in touch following an earlier appeal for witnesses and information.”

Officers still want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, especially who may have CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage. If you can help, call 101 and give the reference number 5222139598.
