Bristol is well known as a festival city that knows how to party and this summer there are more excuses than ever.
Whether it’s music, boats or air balloons, there’s a festival for everybody between now and the end of the summer.
Here’s a round-up of nine of the biggest and best events confirmed for the next few months, although there will be more to come and we’ll update the list as soon as they are.

6. Siren, Bristol Harbourside, July 27-29
Siren is back for another year and the first night kicks off with drum and bass legends Fabio and Grooverider with The Outlook Orchestra and special guests Roni Size and Dynamite MC. The Friday night will see legendary singer Sean Paul take to the stage and Saturday is headlined by Wilkinson. sirenbristol.com | Siren

8. Bristol International Balloon Fiesta, Ashton Court Estate, August 10-13 (photo: Paul Box)
Europe’s largest annual hot air balloon festival is back for 2023 and it’s the 45th anniversary. Expect beautiful (and weather-dependent) morning ascents and transcendent night-glows which see the balloons light up in time to music. bristolballoonfiesta.co.uk | [email protected]
