Bedminster’s Marksbury Road school, pictured here on Speech Day in July 1936, went on to become a City of Bristol College and is now an Oasis Academy.
6. Petherton Road Infants
In the heart of Hengrove, New Oak Primary replaced Petherton Road Infants and Tyning Hengrove Junior School in 2006.
7. Dr Bells School, Fishponds
Dr Bells Primary School was open from 1945-1965 before changing to St Matthias College Primary School from 1961-2000, when it became Fishponds Academy.
8. Penpole School
