Eight Bristol food businesses have been shortlisted for the Uber Eats Restaurant of the Year Awards.

Spanning over 35 towns and cities, and representing 33 different types of cuisine, the awards celebrate the best restaurants in each region and highlights the diversity of the industry and offer local restaurants the chance to take home a cut of the £20,000 worth of prizes on the table to invest in their business.

The restaurant that receives the most votes in each region will be invited to a judging day in London, hosted by Bake Off’s Prue Leith and Chef Monica Galetti, before the winner is announced at a star studded ceremony the following day.

The South West category is dominated by Bristol restaurants and cafes.

The full list of Bristol businesses shortlisted are:

  • The Arjee Bhajee, Soundwell Road, Soundwell, Bristol
  • Sandwich Sandwich, Baldwin Street and Park Row
  • Streatwok, Gloucester Road
  • Low and Slow Barbecue, Whiteladies Road
  • Daily Noodles, Wapping Wharf
  • Koocha Mezze Bar, Cheltenham Road
  • Cathay Rendezvous, King Street

Voting is now open until August 19 at ubereatsawards.com, and the lucky finalists from each region will be announced in September.
