The University of Bath has come top in the South West in the The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2023 - followed closely by the University of Exeter and the University of Bristol.
The annual league table reveals the region’s 11 universities and their ranking. The league table encompasses data including graduate prospects, degree results, research quality, and student satisfaction and experience.
The rankings come at a time of of huge enrolment at Bristol’s two universities - with the city last year unable to provide enough accommmodation for every student. However, there are many developments planned for more student accommodation across the city.

2. University of Bath - National Rank 8, up from 9 in 2022

Bath is fourth for satisfaction with the wider undergraduate experience in our analysis of outcomes from the latest National Student Survey and fifth for graduate prospects, with more than 90 per cent of graduates in highly skilled jobs or further study within 15 months. '
3. University of Exeter - National Rank 13, up from 21 in 2022
‘Most students are based at the main Streatham campus, an attractive hillside site with plenty of green space yet close to the city centre. About £20 million is being invested in campus improvements, mainly to upgrade engineering facilities in the Harrison Building, and 1,182 new student bedrooms have been added at East Park.'
4. University of Bristol - National Rank 15, down from 14 in 2022
