Who serves the best cooked breakfast in Bristol? That was the question we put to Bristol World readers and there was a huge response - people across the city certainly have their favourite haunts when it comes to a Full English.
The recommendations came from all over Bristol and included a range of venues, from small greasy spoons to community centre cafes.
And the places serving a great cooked breakfast are dotted all over the city, from Clifton and Henbury to Bedminster and St George.

2. Star Cafe, Henbury
This Crow Lane favourite serves a range of breakfasts but also other meals including curries and retro desserts such as banana splits.
3. Jessie’s Cafe, Knowle
There’s no doubt about it - Jessie’s on Redcatch Road received the biggest number of recommendations from Bristol World readers who can’t get enough of the fry-ups here. Knowle West-born owner Jessie Garrett and his family are greasy spoon legends in the city as they also ran the Filwood Grill and the Red & White cafe next to Ashton Gate.
4. Mario’s Cafe, Stockwood
A real community hub for Stockwood, Mario’s Cafe is always busy with locals tucking into the excellent cooked breakfasts and also the paninis, omelettes, burgers and sandwiches. A friendly place serving great value food.
