10 photos of the ‘beautiful’ Bristol park with something for all the family this summer

It has free tennis courts, a community garden and cafe and lots more

The sun is out and long school holidays are almost here - what better time to explore one of Bristol’s many fantastic parks?

There are plenty of beautiful open spaces around the city and we all have our favourite spots but for people in south Bristol, there is a huge and difficult choice.

There’s the elegant Victoria Park near Windmill Hill with its city-wide views and picturesque Perrett Park in Knowle with its steep hill and well-tended flowerbeds.

But ask many people in south Bristol and they’ll probably choose Redcatch Park as their favourite for the summer, whether it’s a picnic, sunbathe or game of frisbee.

Created in the 1930s, but based on the Edwardian style, this beautiful park has free tennis courts, a community garden and cafe and all the things you would hope to find in a well maintained local park, from a huge variety of trees and flowers to a range of wildlife including hedgehogs and magpies.

Here are ten photos of Redcatch Park, which we think you’ll agree is one of the best in Bristol.
