5. Lido, Oakfield Place, Clifton
Tucked away behind houses in heart of Clifton, the Lido has a restaurant and downstairs bar with tables on the edge of the pool.
6. Bocabar, Hawkins Lane, Finzels Reach
The outdoor terrace at Bocabar has huge ‘jumbrellas’ and a stretch tent should the weather turn, but when the sun shines, it’s an equally delightful spot to enjoy cocktails, brunch, pizzas and small plates.
7. Riverstation, The Grove
One of Bristol’s longest-running riverside restaurants, you can eat in the upstairs dining room, with its suntrap terrace, or on the cobbled quayside outside the downstairs Pontoon Bar.
8. Olive Shed, Princes Wharf
Now in its 22nd year, Olive Shed serves delicious tapas dishes, with plenty of vegetarian options, plus the added bonus of an alfresco area on the quayside overlooking the water towards the Lloyds amphitheatre.
