Serving food and wines sourced from small-scale and sustainable producers, the Gloucester Road wine shop and deli is a great place to head for the perfect bottle of wine for a friend or a brilliant local cheeseboard for your family.

This year, they’ve gone all out with their festive hamper creations, and there are all sorts of different combinations for you to choose from. Their Cave Hamper is one of our favourites, beautifully presented with one bottle of white and one bottle of red, alongside products such as cheese, chilli jam, crackers and pate.

They also do a Cavern Hamper which is an even more extensive version, or you can find exclusive wine or cheese options too.

It might not be the first thing that pops to your head when you think of Christmas hamper traditions, but for many, oysters are a great way of bringing a bit of indulgence and party atmosphere into the big day. Or, perhaps you just fancy something a little bit different this year.

The Bristol Oyster Co. was founded by Rich Summers who has had oystermen in his family for generations. He set up the Bristol Oyster Co to bring fresh oysters straight to Bristol from their family’s oyster farm.

This year, he will be delivering their oyster hampers on 23 December, and they include live oysters from the family oyster farm as well as products from local businesses including flatbreads from Step and Stone, wine from The Bristol Vine, and smoked salmon from Brown & Forrest smokehouse. Customers have the option to add extra oysters, wine, or champagne.

Another staple on the Bristol food scene, the Clifton deli on The Mall is still supplying hampers to their loyal customers and visitors from far and wide. Known for their wide range of handmade, artisan baked goods and deli treats, their hampers are a surefire way of knowing guests will be well fed at Christmas.
