These are some of the greatest stores we have lost through the year and are much-missed by Bristolians.

We asked our readers which stores they used to love visiting and still miss.

The responses ranged from independent record stores to big-name department stores.

Here are 15 great stores we loved and miss dearly.

The long established record store was based at The Triangle, Clifton, and in the 70s was a hangout of Mark Stewart, Nick Sheppard and other local musicians. Massive Attack's Daddy G worked at the store and would often be on the turntables, adding to the its legendary status. It closed down in 2000.

The record store first opened at Princess Victoria Street before moving to Park Street. It closed down in 1996 due to falling interest and falling trade.

Located on Penn Street, near Castle Park, the popular model chain sold a wide range of hobbyist products, including model kits, model railways, die-cast models, radio controlled vehicles and other hobby supplies. It closed down in 2001.

Located on the ground floor of Haymarket Walk, Paradise Garage was a popular shop for punks and goths to buy their clothes, shoes and jewellery.
