As Halloween looms, families are looking for the best place to pumpkin pick this year with searches for ‘pumpkin patches near me’ up by 560% in the past month.

With this in mind, Parkdean Resorts has revealed the best pumpkin patches in 2022 according to Instagram - and a Bristol patch has been rated among the top 10.

The data was gathered by searching ‘pumpkin patches’ across the country and analysing the number of posts each patch had received - with Avon Valley having over 17,000.

Avon Valley’s pumpkin patch just outside of the city scooped fifth place.

Visitors can grab a wheelbarrow and roam through a massive home grown patch, in Keynsham, to find their perfect pumpkin.

For those who aren’t keen on getting muddy, you can even snap up a gourd from a dedicated dirt-free area.

The patch also boasts theatrical performers, fire shows and live music - and dogs are welcome.

How to get tickets to the pumpkin patch at Avon Valley

You can visit the pumpkin patch at Avon Valley on the following dates: October 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16,, 21,, 22, 23, 24, 25,, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30.

Tickets are priced at £4.99 for adults, children and toddlers - ‘babes in arms’ go free and it’s £3 for a dog pass.

A carer ticket for those attending with disabled guests is £2.50.
