What to expect at Great Bristol Run's 'Super Saturday' - Route, weather, start times

Billed ‘Super Saturday’, the Junior & Mini Run will put a spotlight on younger runners on May 10.

The Minis (aged 3 to 8 year old) will enjoy a 1.5m dash, whilst Juniors (aged 8-15) will take on their own 2.5k challenge.

The event will be open from 8am. The Junior and Mini Great Bristol Run starts and finishes at College Green.

Toby Olubi (aka Phantom) and co-star Zack George (aka Steel) from the Gladiators TV show will officially start the event.

What are the start times for Junior & Mini Run 2025?

- 8am Information Point Opens

- 8.40am Junior Assembly Open

- 8.55am Junior Warm Up

- 9am Junior Great Bristol Run Red Wave START (12 to 15 year olds)

- 9.02am Junior Great Bristol Run Blue Wave START (9 to 11 year olds)

- 9.45am Mascot Dash

- Mini Assembly Open

- 10.05am Mini Warm Up

- 10.10 Mini Great Bristol Run Purple Wave START

Junior & Mini Run 2025 Route

The Junior & Mini Race will take place across the following roads:

- St George’s Road

- College Street

- Frog Lane

- Deanery Road

Junior & Mini Run 2025 Weather Forecast

The Met Office predicts there will be sunny intervals on Saturday.

It predicts highs of 22°C and lows of 9°C .

Similarly, BBC Weather forecasts sunny weather and a moderate breeze, with highs of 21°C an lows of 9°C .
