The world's largest chicken wing festival is returning to Bristol to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

Wing Fest is set to take place from Friday, September 6 until and Sunday, September 8, at Lloyds Amphitheatre.

Festival goers can expect live music, axe throwing, beer and bourbon drinking, and, of course, a whole lot of chicken wings.

The main draw of the festival is the competitions, where experts and enthusiasts will compete to determine the best buffalo, BBQ, and "wild" wing.

A panel of judges will award the top prizes, while attendees will also have the chance to vote for their favourites in the People's Choice awards.

In total, organisers expect to serve up over 100,000 chicken wings to the roughly 6,000 expected attendees.

The festival will feature a lineup of award-winning local and national vendors, including Gurt Wings, Eat The Bird, Poor Boys, Ginger Wings and Bad Boy Wings.

Beyond the food, the festival will also offer entertainment like flame-fuelled theatrics, BBQ demonstrations and the Lava Wing Challenge - the “UK’s hottest wing challenge”.

There will also be the Flying Goose Wing Eating Competition, where festival goers compete against each other to see who can eat the most chicken wings in the fastest time.

Bristol Wing Fest tickets are now on sale and include a Wing Fest signature trucker hat, axe throwing, all entertainment, competitions, and live music. Prices start from £19.50, but are free for under 12s.
