In a Facebook post, the pub on Bridgwater Road in Dundry wrote: “The Winford Arms is now under new ownership, and Riza and his team look forward to welcoming you to this lovely pub with a great food and drink menu and a great kids’ menu.

“We are offering a very special offer for February only: when four or more people enjoy main courses with us, we will give you a FREE house bottle of wine.”

The Winford Arms’ new menu includes hot dogs and burgers, paninis, pub classics and roasts on Sundays.

The pub is open Monday to Sunday from 12 noon to 10pm.

Originally built in 1834, it has become a well-known landmark on the A38.
