Another calendar year has gone by which means that people in Bristol have the chance to celebrate Pancake Day once again. Pancake Day, which is also known as Shrove Tuesday, falls on February 21 this year and starts an exciting countdown to Easter.

So if you’ve been caught out by the change of date and don’t have plans to make pancakes at home, here are the best cafes and restaurants in Bristol to celebrate Pancake Day 2023.

The Crepe and Coffee Cabin

With rave reviews totalling to 4.6 out of 5 stars on Google Reviews, The Crepe and Coffee Cabin in Bristol looks like the perfect place to celebrate Pancake Day. What this small food hub lacks in size it more than makes up for in flavour, boasting a taste bud tickling menu offering a selection of crepes to enjoy.

Based near the docks, this cabin is walk-ins and passing trade only so no need to make a reservation. Open 7am to 5.30pm on weekdays, you can also enjoy their food from 9am to 5.30pm on the weekend.

The Crafty Egg

Not only does this brunch cafe sell a selection of indoor plants, but they boast some of the tastiest pancakes in the city. Enjoy some fluffy delights covered in maple syrup, and choose between a number of tasty treats to add on top such as Nutella and mixed berries.

Doors to this establishment open at 8am and close at 4pm on weekdays, and 9am to 4pm on weekends. The Crafty Egg does not take bookings or reservations, so celebrate Pancake Day by walking into the cafe on February 21.

This beautiful and pristine cafe located on Bristol’s waterfront could be the best place to enjoy pancakes on Shrove Tuesday. Enjoy scenic views of the Clifton Suspension Bridge when you tuck into some homemade Scotch pancakes, with juicy streaky bacon, maple syrup, and an extra topping of your choice.

This cafe, which is a part of ‘Bristol’s best bike shop’, opens its doors 10am to 5pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, then from 10am to 9pm for the rest of the week. If you are visiting the cafe on short notice, make a reservation by phoning the establishment directly.
