Great British Pub Awards 2024: Two Bristol pubs among winners

The Great British Pub Awards were held at Victoria Warehouse in Manchester yesterday (September 17).
Almondsbury Creative, on Gloucester Road in Almondsbury, was crowned the “Best Pub for Families”, while The Gloucester Old Spot, on Kellaway Avenue in Horfield, was named the “Stonegate Group Pub Partners Pub of the Year”.

Almondsbury Creative was nominated for both the “Best Pub for Families” and “Best Community Pub” categories but won the “Best Pub for Families” award.
The pub is a thriving arts and events hub in the North Bristol community and hosts local sports clubs as well as an array of exciting classes, fairs and parties.
Almondsbury Creative is open Monday to Friday from 4pm to late, Saturday from 9.30am to late and Sunday from 9.30pm to 6pm.

The Gloucester Old Spot was the overall winner of the “Stonegate Group Pub Partners Pub of the Year” award.
Formerly The Kellaway Arms, the pub opened in September 2014 following an extensive refurbishment under the ownership of Amy Devenish.
The independent pub has a laid-back atmosphere and a huge enclosed colourful beer garden which comes to life during the summer months.
The pubs is open Monday to Saturday from noon to 11pm and Sunday from noon to 9.30pm.
