Bristol has been declared the best city in the UK for independent coffee shops. That's according to a study made by the global financial technology company SumUp. The study looked at 80 cities across the UK and ranked them based on the number of independent coffee shops in each location and their average review score on Google Maps.
Only coffee shops with three or fewer of the same independent stores across the United Kingdom were considered and chains and franchises were not included in the ranking. Bristol has 79 independent coffee shops with an average score of 4.64, followed very closely by Sheffield with 88 independent coffee shops with an average rating of 4.63.
