New Lounge cafe/bar in Bristol confirms opening date - and there’s not long to wait

West Country-based cafe/bar group Loungers has confirmed the opening date of its newest site in Bristol.

Miro Lounge is due to open at Paintworks in Brislington on Wednesday, June 18, from 9am.

Loungers has transformed the former Bocabar site, which closed in March after 21 years.

Heavily patterned wallpapers, tiling and stripped wooden floors now feature alongside oversized vintage sofas, upholstered lounge chairs, eclectic artwork and statement wall and pendant lighting.

John English, head of community at Loungers, says: “We’re so excited to open the doors of Miro Lounge next week and show off what we’ve done to this well-loved building.

“As we’ve said previously, we’re as passionate about community and great hospitality as Mel and Paul Eavis, the previous owners of Bocabar so we’re sure locals and visitors will enjoy what we have to offer.”

The all-day menu will feature everything from breakfast, tapas and salads to burgers and buttermilk fried chicken, with those following a vegan or gluten-free diet, well catered for with their very own menus.

Particular attention will be paid to families with a selection of games, books, colouring pencils and pads on offer. A full menu, high chairs and baby-changing facilities are also available for Little Loungers.

Miro Lounge will be the 256th Lounge in the group.
