Michelin star restaurants Bristol 2022: full list and new stars awarded - as Michelin Guide UK published

The new Michelin star winners have been announced - are there any in Bristol?

The full list of UK restaurants awarded Michelin stars has been revealed after the Michelin Guide 2022 was published on 16 February.

Michelin awards its prestigious stars to restaurants that produce very high quality dining experiences - with the highest accolade being three Stars.

But how do restaurants get a Michelin star - and have any Bristol eateries made the cut?

What are Michelin star awards?

To gain a Michelin star, a restaurant must fit certain criteria, which involves using quality products, mastery of flavour and cooking techniques, personality of the chef in the cuisine, value for money, and consistency.

This year’s guide includes one new Three Star restaurant - Cumbria’s L’Enclume. The guide has also awarded five new Two Stars and 19 new One Stars.

Nine restaurants have also been awarded a Michelin Green Star - including one in Bristol.

The award was introduced in 2021 and highlights eateries that combine culinary excellence with eco-friendly and sustainable practices.

Have any Bristol restaurants won a Michelin star in 2022?

While none of Bristol’s eateries have won Michelin Stars this year, Wilson’s restaurant was awarded a Michelin Green Star.
