The owners, who also run The Milk Thistle and The Raven cocktail bars in Bristol, say the bar has a new owner, who is yet to be announced.

Speaking about the change of ownership, Hyde & Co founder Nathan Lee said the bar “will always hold a special place for all of us”.

He said: “It was where our journey first began and it’s opened so many doors for us, and we couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who’s supported us over the years.

“However, all good things have to come to an end, and it’s time for us to hand it on to the next generation.

“We love the fact that the venue will continue to run as a bar, and we’re so excited to see what the new owners have in store for it.

“It’s definitely not goodbye, just see you later for all of us

“In the meantime this will give us more time to focus on our new projects, with much more to come from the Hyde & Co Group in the coming months, so stay tuned!”

The Hyde & Co group run 11 venues across the city in total, including Bambalan, The Ox and Seven Lucky Gods.
