Caroline told BristolWorld: “The Wooden Walls has gone really well; we’ve created regular and new customers and it has a really nice feel in there, so we started looking for a second one.

“Church Road and St George have some brilliant pubs, but I think we can offer something different.

“We’re a very traditional micropub and it could be the smallest one in Bristol.”

The 33 sq ft pub also has an ever-changing beer line-up, with new beers being introduced every time a barrel is emptied.

The pint-sized pub has been in the making since the middle of last year, with planning consent having to be obtained for the shop conversion.

“It was definitely a relief to get the doors open,” Caroline added. “I’m really pleased with how it’s been received, especially by the locals.”

The Pickled Parrot is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 4pm, closing at 10pm on Wednesday and Thursday, 10.45pm on Friday and Saturday, and 9pm on Sunday.
