An Indian restaurant in Bristol is marking a double celebration after winning in a national awards ceremony.

Raj Bari has received the South West Chef of the Year award and the prestigious ‘Curry Oscar’ in the Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards (ARTA) 2024, which were held in London on Sunday, October 6.

In a social media post, Raj Bari wrote: “We are thrilled to announce that Raj Bari has emerged as the Winner of the ARTA Grand Finale 2024 (South West Region)!

“A huge thank you to our incredible customers - your unwavering support made this achievement possible.

“We’re also delighted to share that this marks a double celebration for us!

“Alongside winning the Chef Championship Trophy for the South West, we have proudly received the prestigious Curry Oscar at the ARTA Awards 2024 Final at the Royal Lancaster London.

“This victory is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the entire Raj Bari Bristol team. Thank you all for being part of our journey!”

Raj Bari opened on Hotwell Road in 1991 and has enjoyed loyal custom from locals around Hotwells, Clifton Wood and the Harbourside for more than three decades.
