A historic former pub in Bristol could be converted into a shop under plans submitted to the city council.

The Armoury Tavern on Stapleton Road in Easton was partially built in the middle of the 19th century, but has been left empty since 2017.

The pub would be renovated, with the majority of the changes made inside the building.

In planning documents, developers said their plan was a “fantastic opportunity to rejuvenate a long-vacant structure”, and would “contribute to the vitality” of the neighbourhood.
