It comes as Anne Morris, the chief nurse of Bristol’s vaccination programme, reveal people in the city seem to be ‘putting off’ their booster jabs until the New Year after capacity was ramped up before Christmas.
It has been warned that if the vaccination effort continues at the current rate, one in five people will have Covid by the end of December.
Despite the rising number of cases and fears of extra pressures on the NHS, Boris Johnson has announced no further restrictions will be imposed before Christmas Day.
