The 8 Bristol areas with the highest Covid infection rates
The figures, from Public Health England, show that Shirehampton and Avonmouth currently holds the highest infection rate, followed by Westbury-on-Trym and Whitchurch Park.
The rates are all significantly higher than the national average, which stands at 440.0 cases per 100,000 people.
It comes as face coverings become mandatory in shops and on public transport again over concerns around the Omicron variant.
More than 20 cases of the variant have been confirmed across the country, but the South West remains free of the strain at the moment.
Nationally, there were 294,753 positive Covid test results in the week to November 25, up 2 per cent from the week before.
Northern Ireland has the highest infection rates in the UK, with 622 cases per 100,000 people, followed by South East England, with 578 cases per 100,000.
Scotland has the lowest rate, with 340 cases per 100,000.
1. Shirehampton and Avonmouth

3. Whitchurch Park
Whitchurch Park recorded an infection rate of 639.0 per 100,000 of the population in the week leading up to November 25. This is a drop in cases however - the area had an infection rate of 728.2 the week before, a 12.2 per cent decrease. Photo: Google
