Could you help spread the word in Bristol about the NSPCC’s schools service?
The NSPCC has launched a search for someone with a passion to keep children safe to shout about its schools service and encourage more people to sign up as volunteers.
The children’s charity runs a schools programme which teaches children in an age-appropriate way about the different forms of abuse and who they should go to if they have any worries or concerns.
Children are shown a video assembly featuring Ant and Dec and schools can also be visited by NSPCC staff and volunteers who deliver Speak out, Stay safe workshops and activities in classrooms.
Volunteers are a key part of the Speak out, Stay safe programme and are given full training and support before they venture into schools.

The NSPCC is now seeking someone to be a champion of the schools service in the Bristol area to help attract more people to become volunteers.
Michelle Green, NSPCC Schools Service Manager for the South West, said: “The NSPCC’s Schools Service is really valued by school staff and parents and we really want to sign up more volunteers so that we can continue to keep children safe across the South West.
“We are really hoping that we can find a true champion of the service to help us spread the word about what we do and encourage more people to volunteer so that we can help even more children to Speak out, Stay safe.”
The children’s charity is looking for people who would be able to go and speak to businesses, clubs and organisations in the Bristol area to explain what the Schools Service is and how volunteering works.

They would need to be able to share posts on social media, attend events and get involved with online networking and groups to help raise awareness of the service and how it helps children.
Full training and support would be provided for volunteers who take up the role and there would be opportunities to work alongside other NSPCC volunteers and staff. They would be expected to commit to around three to four hours a month helping to champion the schools service.
