The Department for Education has revealed the latest SAT scores achieved by pupils by the end of Year 6 in the summer of 2024.
The maximum score a student can achieve is 120 for SAT assessments in reading and mathematics.
On average, students across Bristol and England achieve a score of 105 in reading and 104 in mathematics.
In Bristol, 56% met the expected standard in reading, writing and maths and 6% achieved higher than standard, and in England these figures were 61% and 8%.

We also included each top-performing school’s latest Ofsted score were available. In some instances, an overall Ofsted judgement is unavailable, as the school regulator has now scrapped single word scores.

Frome Vale Academy, located on Frenchay Road, achieved an average score of 109 in reading and 106 in maths. 83% of pupils met the expected standards in KS2 and 10% achieved a higher standard. Current Ofsted rating: Outstanding.
