Insider Media have revealed the richest people in the latest South West Rich List.
We used the data to compile the 14 richest individuals in the region.
The list includes self-made entrepreneurs, tech entrepreneurs and the richest women in the South West.

5. Steve Lansdown
2023: £1.304bn | 2024: £1.410bn. Lansdown will be in line for a nine-figure windfall from the sale of the investment venture he set up and grew with Peter Hargreaves. The deal puts a value of £308.3m on his stake - £99m more than his shares were worth a year ago. These days Lansdown is best known for owning Championship football club Bristol City and Premiership rugby union side Bristol Bears. | HL
6. Sir David McMurtry
2023: £1.050bn | 2024: £1.019bn. Renishaw's co-founder earlier this year stepped down as chairman. McMurtry set up the Gloucestershire-based precision engineering group with John Deer in the 1970s. The Dubline born entrepreneur will remain a non-executive director of the £2.47bn company. He still owns 36.24 per cent of Renishaw. His stake is now worth £895.1m - down £43.5m over the past year. | McMurty
7. James Benamor
2023: £293m | 2024: £570m. A father-of eight, Benamor made around £300m when he floated Amigo Loans on the stock market in 2008 and was briefly a billionaire. Shares in the Bournemouth-based lender coallpsed, losing 99 per cent of their value. More recently Benamor has built a £52m stake in the retail park owner Hammerson. These shares are worth £8m more than a year ago. Richmond Group, Benamor's Bournement-based holding company, now shows net assets of £554.7m - a figure that includes the Hammerson shares. | Amigo Loans
8. Charlotte Townshend
2023: £462m | 2024: £486m. Townshend was in her mid-30s when she inherited the Ilchester estate, including parts of Chesil Beach and the Abbotsbury Swannery. As well as 15,000 acres of the Dorset countryside, she also owns at least 20 acres of London's valuable Holland Park district. She has a holiday lets business called Luxury Dorset Cottages, properties in Yorkshire and a large stock market portfolio. | swns
