Brunch, a type of meal which is usually taken late in the morning that combines a late breakfast and an early lunch has boomed in popularity in the last few years, with Truro being crowned brunch capital of the South West as searches rise an astonishing 125% from 2021 to 2023, The Cut & Craft has found.

Although they could not come close to Truro for the crown, Bristol also saw a huge rise, placing them second at 89%. Gloucester and Salisbury both came third with a 57% increase. Exeter was at the bottom of the table at 24%. Looking at the UK national table, the data shows that Scotland had the largest increase (124%), just narrowly beating England (123%). Northern Ireland came third with 116% and Wales came fourth with a rise of 85%.

Elsewhere in the UK, Bangor NI came first (250%), Salford was second (243%), and Wakefield was third (175%).
