An opticians in Cribbs Causeway has put children’s safety first by donating high visibility vests to a local Scouts group.

Colleagues from Specsavers in The Mall, provided the brightly coloured tabards to children from 2nd Patchway Scouts Group to wear during outdoor activities to make sure they can be seen more easily.

Store director at Specsavers Cribbs Causeway, Gaurav Patel, says: ‘Hopefully the vests will make sure that the youngsters are more visible and therefore safer when they’re out and about. We’re delighted that they will be put to good use and also give both parents and the Scout group leaders more peace of mind.’

‘We’re extremely grateful to Specsavers Cribbs Causeway for the donation of the vests,’ adds Kathy Hemmings, Group Scout Leader. ‘We do lots of activities outside so they will definitely get lots of wear. Thank you to the team for thinking of us, it’s brilliant to have support from a local business.’
