It has since evolved into one of the world’s biggest fundraising events and has helped to raise millions for people living with cancer. In 2023, more than £13 million was raised through coffee mornings across the country.

Verity McKay, Divisional Marketing Manager for McCarthy Stone, comments: “We are delighted to be inviting locals to Crescent Place to help raise money for a very worthwhile cause. It’s not only a fantastic opportunity to help promote the brilliant work that Macmillan do, but to also bring the community together and show people what life at a McCarthy Stone development is like.”
With 80% of properties now sold, Crescent Place offers a mix of luxury one and two-bedroom retirement apartments designed exclusively for the over 60s. A sophisticated communal lounge sits at the heart of the development, alongside a beautiful landscape garden, providing plenty of opportunities for socialising and relaxation.

A range of purchase options are available at Crescent Place, such as the Shared Ownership scheme in partnership with Homes England, which allows retirees to enjoy the benefits of Retirement Living without committing to the full purchase price. For example, retirees can pay just 50% of the property value of an apartment at the development, and monthly rent payable on the remaining 50%, with one-bedroom properties available from £112,500*.
