First look inside transformed Bristol Co-op store as it reopens after two-month closure - 'It looks fantastic'

A Bristol Co-op has reopened following a two-month transformation.

The convenience store on Broomhill Road in Brislington reopened on Friday, April 11 with a fresh new-look, having been closed since February 15.

The 3,000 sq ft store includes an in-store bakery, Costa Coffee Express and increased range of fresh and healthy produce, alongside its focus on food-to-go and meal deals; Fairtrade products, pizzas, flowers; ready meals, award winning wines and every day essentials.

New refrigeration supports Co-op’s work to continue to cut its carbon footprint, and soft plastic recycling is also available, enabling shoppers to return harder to recycle materials such as crisp packets and bread bags, lids from ready meals, biscuit wrappers and, pet food pouches.

Self-scan tills provide additional ease, speed and convenience especially at busier times.

Lucas Holbrook, Co-op’s store manager, said: “The whole team is delighted to invest in Bristol and to relaunch Co-op’s Broomhill Road store.

“It looks fantastic, transformed with a fresh new look.

“We pride ourselves on being able to deliver the quality, choice and value which can be enjoyed by everyone, and really look forward to welcoming our members and customers back into their local Co-op.

“We’re here to contribute to local life and conveniently serve and support our community.”

It is the second Co-op store in Bristol to relaunch in recent weeks after undergoing a major makeover, following the reopening of the Avonmouth store last month.
