We have compiled some of the best markets, big and small, happening in and around Bristol in the run up to Christmas.

1. Long Ashton Village Market
The monthly local market will return on December 7 with a wide range of local, affordable and sustainable food and crafts. The market also has a cafe, parking, wheelchair access and an accessible toilet. There's also a children's playground right next to the market. 2. Bristol Christmas Market
Located on Broadmead, the German-themed market is home to over 35 unique stalls ranging from homemade crafts to clothes, unique lamps and delicious foods. Many classic food stalls have returned including Yorkshire Pudding Wraps, German bratwurst, churros and crepes among many other sweet treats. Visitors will also be able to enjoy festive drinks like mulled cider and delicious hot chocolates. There is also a Christmas-themed train for the young ones in the family and the stunning Ferris wheel. 3. Underfall Yard market
Explore stalls filled with hand-crafted treasures and support local makers while finding those perfect holiday gifts on November 30 and December 1 from 10am to 5pm. There will also be a mulled wine and mince pie bar and a carol service by the Bristol Folk Choir and the Feast of Fools. 4. The Ardagh Market
